Default Load in Motion?

Hello, I am new to the forum and even newer to physics. I am currently researching for the development of a new product at my job and need some help answering some physics related problems. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START!!!

Here is my issue I need to find out if I am carrying a load of X on a trailer and I come to a dead stop (ie hit a brick wall) @ Y mph how much force measured in pounds will be put on the chains holding down my load of X.

That is probally not worded correctly, but that is my best attempt of explianing what I need to figure out. Any help would be appriciated.

THANK YOU!
