Post How to plot a gaussian line using Matlab?

I have a ascii file from the Hitran program in which gives (among other) the wavenumber and the intensity for each line. I would like to plot the these lines with a Gaussian line profiles using Matlab. How do I do that?

The intensity and wavenumbers is "saved" into a matrix.

Thank you in advance!

Edit:

I think I have posted this in the wrong section of the forum (sorry about that ). This is suppose to be a question in the "College/University Physics" section under "Atomic" or perhaps in the "Advance Physics section".

Also, the lines are from molecules but I guess that does not matter since I only want to know how to plot a gaussian line when only information of wavenumber, intensity is provided. I guess I could also estimate the FWHM (or guess.. its not relevent for my calculations). There is a 'Air-broadened half-width' and a 'Self-broadened half-width' in the file but I am not sure what that means.

Other information provided by the Hitran files is stated here, http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/hitran/Do...RAN04paper.pdf , page 5 in table 2 (see parameters).
