Hi:
A body of mass 1kg undergoes SHM of period 1s. Its maximum speed during the oscillations is 2pi m/s. Plot graphs showing how its displacement varies as a function of time, and how its kinetic energy and its potential energy vary as a function of its displacement.
So I have these graphs:
I guess I wanna do the displacement graph first, off course. It will be a cos graph as time starts NOT at 0s. So I need to mark on the graph that time=1 at the x=0 point? Do I need to put on Frequency = 1.0Hz? Velocity is 2pi, but at what point on the graph. Little unsure of this as you can probably tell.
Do I need to use the equation x=Acos2pift for something? I have max velocity so I can find amplitude = v.max/2pif=2pi/2pif=f, which is 1.0. Think I may have already gone wrong. please help.
